Christopher Montalvo-McCarthy is an artist and architectural designer with a varied background in painting, ceramics, fabrication, finishing, and art history. As an artist his work deals with the experience of social phenomena as a mediated condition. Materially he has served as a consultant for numerous artists seeking tecnical solutions including sculptors and painters.

His design work celebrates the play of procedural systems against the tooth of studied context. He centers computational tools and digital fabrication as more than a means to an end but a possible operative medium within his design methodology which is primarily informed by drawing, data mapping, and conceptual diagramming.
